Half term in Fleet and Hook is 26 to 30 October 2026. West Green House opens a pumpkin patch, Hart runs pumpkin carving, and Hartley Wintney shows a free film.

October half term for Hampshire schools is Monday 26 to Friday 30 October 2026, and the organisers’ own listings already show a handful of things worth planning around in and near Fleet and Hook. The biggest is a new Halloween pumpkin patch at West Green House near Hartley Wintney, open on nine days from Saturday 24 October. Hart District Council runs pumpkin carving and a story walk at Bramshot Farm Country Park on the Thursday and Friday, and Hartley Wintney Parish Council has a free film screening on the Tuesday. Check your child’s school first: some local schools start half term earlier or finish it later than the county.

Which dates your school is off

The county’s school holiday dates give half term as Monday 26 to Friday 30 October. Calthorpe Park, Court Moor and Frogmore Community College match it. Three schools in the district do not:

School Off from Back
Hampshire maintained schools Mon 26 Oct Mon 2 Nov
Yateley School Thu 22 Oct (training days 22 and 23 Oct) Mon 2 Nov
Robert May’s School, Odiham Mon 26 Oct Mon 9 Nov
Lord Wandsworth College, Long Sutton Fri 16 Oct, 4pm Sun 1 Nov

Robert May’s says the school is closed on 5 and 6 November “other than for the bookable face-to-face 1:1 tutor/parent/student meetings”. Every school’s calendar, with its training days, is on our Fleet school term dates page.
